The recent launch of Radeon R300 series was not the only debut in SAPPHIRE’s portfolio. Together with range of products with new Radeon chipsets we are proud to introduce the SAPPHIRE NITRO – a special edition of graphics cards dedicated to gamers.
The SAPPHIRE Nitro is crammed with features. We went back to the drawing board to design a card that exploits our proven expertise in the high-end graphics cards arena. As a result we have packed SAPPHIRE NITRO with everything you need to bring the very best gaming experience available for your budget. These include:
Cooling
SAPPHIRE NITRO cards are equipped with next generation of Tri-X and Dual-X coolers. All fans are dual-ball bearing for long life and are specially designed to repel dust. Apart of that NITRO cooling uses the Intelligent Fan Control II (IFC II) that switches the fans on or off depending on the load. Now if the card is under low stress all fans will switch off making the work completely silent.
Electronics
To ensure best stability SAPPHIRE NITRO products utilize Black Diamond Chokes. The choke is an important component of the power regulation on a graphics card, and the SAPPHIRE Black Diamond Choke with integral heatsink runs 10% cooler and with 25% more power efficiency than a normal choke. Additionally we have implemented highly reliable 16K hour long life capacitors.
Design
In NITRO the fan shroud is fixed to the PCB making the card more rigid thus no need for a backplate. The simple and elegant design will fit all builds when it comes to aesthetics and all standard-form PC cases when it comes to size.

To top things off, the SAPPHIRE NITRO series comes with the latest graphics architecture from AMD to ensure fast, reliable gaming and are performance tuned for the majority of PC gamers.
